Down to Earth Celebration

Saturday, April 20, 1-4pm
Flying Goat Tasting Room
1520 E. Chestnut Ct., Lompoc

"Planet vs Plastics" is the theme of 2024 Earth Day and we'll be sharing some of our efforts for an environmentally friendly planet. We source from regenerative and sustainable vineyards and have sustainable practices in the cellar and tasting room. We practice backyard beekeeping, drought tolerant gardening and vermiculture, while living in an eco-friendly geodesic dome. We also live and work in the City of Lompoc, known for its sustainable energy, water, wastewater and recycling investments.

The photo shows beekeeper (and winemaker) Norm extracting bees from a utility meter with a gentle bee vacuum. A Lompoc Valley Beekeepers demonstration hive will be at the event to delight children of all ages.

Former Flying Goat cellar master Jeff Hendrickson will be at the event to share his local Good Samaritan program BridgeHouse Farm “Growing Hope.”
